Today Is A New Day

Monday, December 06, 2010 Posted by Pastor Fred Wolfe

Today I begin a new day. It is like yesterday, but it is not the same. It is a new kind of day, made new by God, whose mercies are new every morning. I begin this day knowing that I have not made it new. I am at the mercy of Him who makes the mercies new. And today He has given me a new day.

Today I pray that
my faith may be simple,
my heart be pure,
my actions faithful,
my thoughts worshipful,
my reactions grateful,
my intentions selfless,
my heart sanctified,
my life lost,
my dreams conformed,
my will overturned,
my speech blameless,
my sin destroyed,my emotions holy,
my tongue bridled,
my path straight,
my footsteps illuminated,
my passions heavenly,
my gifts well-worn,
my praise scriptural,
my time proactive,
my choices upright,
my friendships intentional,
my family discipled,
my work redeemed,
my wounds healed,
my prayer reverent,
my study productive,
my faith effectual,
my house ordered,
my life submitted.

And may it not be about me.
